Ioannis Mariolis received the Diploma degree and the Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering, in 2002 and 2009, respectively, both from the University of Patras (UoP)- Greece. During his PhD studies, he worked as a teaching and research assistant at the Wire Communications Laboratory, Dept. of Electrical and Computer Engineering. During 2010 and 2011, Dr Mariolis worked as a research assistant at the Medical Physics Laboratory – School of Medicine-(UoP), while from March 2010 to March 2011 he also served as an adjunct lecturer at the Department of Informatics and Means of Mass Communication of Technological Educational Institute of Patras, Greece. Since February 2012, Dr Mariolis has been working in the Informatics and Telematics Institute (Ι.Τ.Ι), as a postdoctoral research fellow.
His main research interests include statistical signal processing, machine vision, medical image analysis and pattern recognition.
