Biography

Stelios Zygouris is a neuropsychologist specializing in cognitive aging, dementia, and new technologies. His research work focuses on computerized cognitive testing and the use of serious games for the detection of pre-clinical cognitive decline in older adults. He has a BSc in psychology from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH), an MSc in Theoretical Psychoanalytic Studies from University College London (UCL) and a PhD in Medicine from AUTH. He has completed the training program of the Graduate Program “People with Dementia in Acute Care Hospitals” at the Heidelberg University Network Aging Research as part of his PhD studies. He is a Senior Atlantic Fellow at the Global Brain Health Institute. He maintains ongoing collaborations with the University of California San Francisco Memory and Aging Center and the Ain Shams University Cognitive Training Lab in Cairo, Egypt.
